Alexis T. Jones, M. A., CCC-SLP is Founder and CEO of Adaptive Accents. For over a decade, she has dedicated her career to helping clients achieve their definition of communication success through accent coaching and executive communication coaching.
Early in her career as a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist, Alexis built a strong foundation of experience assessing and treating a broad range of speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.
In 2012, inspired by her rich Gullah heritage and curiosity for creole languages, regional dialects, and accents, she created Adaptive Accents to help clients expand their communication abilities while maintaining an authentic sense of self, identity, and culture.
As a Communication Coach, Alexis travels the globe coaching a vast range of clientele — corporate and business professionals, podcast hosts, emcees, keynote speakers, software engineers, healthcare professionals, high-school, collegiate, and professional athletes to name a few. Additionally, she creates customized curriculum, facilitates seminars, and presents for organizations, company retreats, and special events.
She also proudly serves as graduate mentor and Clinical Educator to graduate students through official Clinical Affiliation with the University of Memphis School of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
As a Board member of National Alliance of African American Athletes - Orlando Chapter, and Selection Committee member of NAAAA at-large, she serves as conference facilitator and speaking coach for athletes throughout their collegiate and professional careers.
Adaptive Accents is where passion, purpose, and profession meet for Alexis, and she believes it is her duty to equip clients with the tools necessary to flourish in their personal and professional environments.
It is her mission to educate clients and the world that accents and dialects are not deficiencies.
